Esuwae (She/Her)
Esuwae is a multidisciplinary artist, intuitive practitioner, and ceremonial creator whose work bridges visual art, sound, and spiritual exploration. Rooted in a deeply personal practice that blends painting, assemblage, ritual, and energetic storytelling, her work invites viewers into spaces of transformation, reclamation, and embodied presence.
Guided by the belief that art functions as both expression and portal, Esuwae approaches her creative process as a form of listening — to spirit, memory, and the unseen layers of human experience. Her paintings and assemblage works often emerge intuitively, shaped by symbolic language, organic forms, and emotionally resonant textures. Each piece carries a sense of ritual, reflecting an ongoing dialogue between inner landscape and external world.
Identifying as both artist and spiritual practitioner, Esuwae integrates influences from Celtic shamanic traditions, earth-based spirituality, and contemporary creative expression. Themes of feminine power, ancestral connection, and personal reclamation are central to her work, particularly within her evolving body of projects exploring “The Reclamation: The Power of She.” Through these explorations, she creates visual and experiential work that encourages healing, self-awareness, and reconnection with intuition.
Her practice extends beyond traditional studio boundaries, incorporating sound, performance, and community-centered experiences that emphasize connection and shared presence. Rather than separating art from lived experience, Esuwae embraces a holistic approach where creativity, spirituality, and daily life exist as interconnected forces.
Based in the American Southwest, Esuwae continues to develop work that exists at the intersection of contemporary art and sacred practice — offering viewers and participants an invitation to slow down, feel deeply, and engage with art as a pathway toward transformation.
